Totally retired after 33 years in retail and 17 years as B.C. Transportation in September 2012. Celebrated 55 years as an active volunteer firefighter with Elsmere Fire Dept. and still doin it. Just returned from an Alaska Cruise. Love Cruising – anything that floats – big or small. Life is Good.

I broke both legs in January and have been busy with therapy and work and Paul. Paul is in a nursing home at the moment. I do not know what happens next. I am fine although a bit crippled. I walk fine, but slowly. But when one is paid by the hour, that is a good thing. Regards to all, I expect to get back to the first Wednesday meetings soon….right now planning ahead is not a possibility.

I went to (the class) lunch today and then got to visit with a niece in Slingerlands, had to get home for my continuing education zoom class for my Professional Geologist license. I am still working. I am going to give a paper in November on " Bioremediation of Chlorinated Solvents (dry cleaning fluids) in Groundwater." Bacteria do all the work.

I am also taking classes in the Lifetime Learning Institute at Bard College. I mostly take the music classes. The President of the College directs the Orchestra, they have music students from all over the world.
