A comment from Bill: ...pretty sure this picture showed myself and the three other young teens as being the winners of the Knickerbocker News award trip to New York City for selling the most subscriptions to the Knickerbocker News.
The award trip to NYC was a memorable event for this Delmar kid. We saw / visited Times Square with the Camel smoking cigarette, the Statue of Liberty (we got all the way up into the torch), NY Giants football game with YA Title, the Rockettes on Broadway, and the St George’s Hotel saltwater swimming pool (OK so it was not Coney Island beach but it was salt water!!). This trip was also my first introduction to the NYC subway system. Lots of noise and lights whizzing by and not knowing when or where we were supposed to get off the train. Fortunately, our adult paperboy news manager did a great job of chaperoning us. Now sixty-five years later New York City is definitely not on my bucket list, but at least I can say that I have been there, seen it and done it!!!
All of the Best to BCHS Class of 1961! Looking back, maybe we can all say that we were a little bit ahead of our times and what we have accomplished!!
Sincerely,
Bill Kemp

First great-grandchild - Cole Michael from daughter's (Bonnie Sue) daughter (Ashley Nicole), Haymarket, VA.
Grandson Kevin is in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power program. (Taking after his grandpa Pi##ed off his dad who was Army...) Always a satisfying topic of conversation at family get-togethers.
Fully retired from my firm now and surprising how easy it has been to adapt to doing nothing in particular. I think I've discovered a new skill!
Just spent three weeks in Italy, again; and this time we didn't run into one single soul we knew...although we did meet a couple who live about 500 yards from my firm's office...not too bad.
Here ends the trivia...
Best to all.

Wish we could attend the 55th but August and September are the months we spend on our mining claims in the Brooks Range. Hope all of you are well and enjoying life. See you all at the 60th. Mike and Patty Kunz

I am writing to let you know that I am unable to attend this year’s 55th Reunion. I have had some physical problems this year including a Stroke, a Cardio-Ablation and am currently using a walker due to several falls. We were really looking forward to coming prior to all my problems. We both had such a good time at the 50th Reunion. I pray that you have a great turn out for this one also. Sending my hello’s and Best Wishes to everyone on the committee and anyone else you might see at the reunion and think to say it to for me.

My husband, Lee and I are in Breckenridge Colorado for our annual 6 week escape of the Houston heat. We will be on the road home the weekend of the reunion. I can only imagine the time you all put in to arranging this event. We hate to miss it. Anyone visiting Houston be sure to give us a call. We an hour north of the city. I still have great memories growing up in Elsmere & Delmar. It was a wonderful area to call home.

Good afternoon from VERY HOT Montgomery, Tx. This notice just came across my email (The lunch reschedule) and thought I’d send a quick hello. Not sure anyone would remember me since I went away to college and married shortly afterwards and moved away.
We have two sons and 4 grandchildren. Keep busy with golf, cards and a bit of volunteer work. A few bouts of cancer over the years but thanks to great care at Mayo Clinic and now MDAnderson, it's under control.
A hello from
